The 2024 Maryland Housing Market Statistics show a 1.5% increase in units sold.
The 2024 Maryland home sales price average was up 5.8% to $495,360.
All of this above was with higher interest rates than we have seen in years.
Though new homes coming on the market were up, new pending sales were too, which meant active inventory was down overall for 2024.
For the 2025 Maryland real estate market, buyers and sellers should be prepared for interest rates continuing on the higher end. Also, like 2023 and 2024, there may not be much inventory, so Baltimore homebuyers may still need to be ready to be competitive for a well-priced home, depending on the area and circumstances.
