Hunt Valley Home Sales August 2014 were down significantly from August 2013.
The total volume of Hunt Valley homes sold in August was $5,540,800, which is down 45.35% from August 2013, where we saw $10,138,400 sell. This is also down from the sales volume of $7,496,300 that we saw in Cockeysville Home Sales July 2014.
Also down was average sales price, down 18.02% to $395,771 from last year, but up from last month. Now, to note, the Cockeysville area has a very wide variety of homes, and if the homes that sold are smaller condos or townhouses, the average price can drop quickly, compared to the months when the large, newer single family homes sell.
Last month, only 14 Cockeysville homes sold, while last August 21 homes sold (with a much higher average sales price of $482,781.)
It took an average of 93 days for those Hunt Valley homes to go under contract, which is an unfortunate number to have rise — it took an additional month, on average, for a home in 21030 to sell.
