Baltimore was named the 2nd best city for recent college graduates according to ADP Research in June 2024.
ADP Research collected data from January 2019 through April 2024 of more than four million people 20-29 years old at over 27,000 U.S. employers.
The analysis included wages, hiring rates, and affordability when considering rankings.
Baltimore came in second place due to greater affordability, higher pay, and stronger hiring practices than many other metro areas.
According to the ADP Research analysis post,
“Greater Baltimore ranks second to Raleigh, and for similar reasons. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics account for a large proportion of jobs due to the presence of top-tier universities such as Johns Hopkins (and the Johns Hopkins Hospital) and the University of Maryland.”
Congratulations to Baltimore!
