Maryland real estate market trends from COVID-19 are being put together by our MLS, Bright MLS. Here is the update for August 31, 2020.

The Bright MLS covers seven states at this time, so there are statistics for a number of areas. There is a general overview, and then there is specific state data.

Starting on page 25 of the Bright MLS multi-state report 08/31/2020, the Maryland real estate data shows the following:

In Maryland, the daily number of “New Active Listings” added to the market from 8/24-31 rose for a second week in a row, and remained above the number of new listings from the same point last year for the fourth week in a row.

New pending listings from 8/24-31 rose very slightly this week, and remained above the same point last year, which it has been since May 18.

Closings rose again, surging well above the number of closings as this point last year.
